Lord Mayor receives our earthquake appeal relief cheque

We were honoured to have a visit from the Lord Mayor Sheffield last week who received the cheque on behalf of our Amatrice appeal.

Our wonderful customers have helped us raise an amazing £1,749.00 which is now on its way to the relief effort.

Nonnas donated £1 from every single pasta dish sold throughout September and we’ll soon be announcing another event in December.

Amatrice – which was close to the epi-centre of the recent earthquake – was virtually flattened by the disaster that caused almost 300 deaths.

Nonnas proprietor Maurizo Mori said: “The earthquake has been devastating for a small town that inspired one of the country’s most iconic dishes.

“It’s wonderful that the Lord Mayor of Sheffield visited to receive the cheque.”

The cash will be delivered to the appeal following December’s event.
