Over the years Nonnas has had the privilege of employing some truly exemplary staff. 

They’ve captured the very essence of our brand and have regularly gone above and beyond the call of duty.

September 2019’s Nonnas Employee of the Month Award winner is the one and only Carla – otherwise known as ‘the teacher’ to colleagues and friends.

She’s our resident academic and – as well as being an exemplary member of staff – is studying a PHD in Modern History.

Originally from Santiago in Spain – she opted for Sheffield University for her studies as she liked the youthful demographic of the city.

Carla said: “I love being part of the Nonnas family. It’s a great feeling of belonging. We work together and meet loads when we’re not at work. We genuinely care about each other!”

Carla started as a glass collector to help pay her bills. That was three years ago – and she’s still here! You’ll now find her turning her hand to any number of front of house tasks.
